How it works
From the line to the dashboard, in real time
ID Scan has two parts: an Android app for whoever runs the door and a web dashboard for whoever runs the business. This is what a night with the system looks like.

A guest arrives at the door
The doorman opens the ID Scan app on an Android phone — no dedicated readers or special hardware required.

The document is scanned
The Costa Rican cédula by its encrypted barcode, passports and DIMEX by the MRZ zone, North American licenses by their AAMVA code. Damaged documents can be read via camera OCR or typed in.

The system validates instantly
ID Scan confirms the age, extracts the document data and checks the person against the venue’s lists: ban, warning or VIP. The doorman sees a traffic-light result: green, yellow or red.

The visit is recorded
The entry adds to the live occupancy and to the customer’s history: how many times they’ve come, when and to which venue. Staff notes stay attached to the profile.

Management sees everything on the dashboard
Live occupancy, today’s visits, demographics and alerts — from any browser, at the office or on a phone.
Real operations

Unstable internet, several entrances, rotating staff. ID Scan is built for operations as they actually are.
Offline mode
If the internet drops, the app keeps scanning and validating against local data. When the connection returns, everything syncs automatically.
Multiple doormen at once
Each entrance can run its own device. They all feed the same occupancy count and the same lists.
Each role sees its own
Doormen scan and register; management handles lists, reports and users. Permissions are controlled by role.

While the app works the door, the dashboard builds the business intelligence: occupancy, visits, demographics, lists and per-event reports.
